Your Own Jewelry Booth at Festivals and Fairs
Make a Lot of Cash With Your Own Jewelry Booth at Shows, Fairs and Festivals
This site will uncover your options for selling your handmade jewelry. You don't have to surf all over the net to see what other
people are doing with their jewelry business, or trying to find how-to-start-a-jewelry-business information. It is all right here
laid out for you in plain English, so you see all your options at once. How to make money is no secret, but people try to keep their
methods hidden from their competitors. It is uncovered here!
If you are the kind of person that likes to get out and meet a lot of people then you would be good at selling your hand made jewelry at
arts and crafts shows. Also if you are a busy person and can take only one or two weekends a month to devote to your business then having
a jewelry booth is a good plan.
The best thing about selling your handmade jewelry at fairs and festivals is that there are a lot of people already looking for something
to buy, so you have the potential of walking away with a lot of cash. A couple weekends a month and you could have a full time income.
You can choose to stick close to home or travel a long distance. The trick is to find shows and fairs that your target market
would be attending. If you make and sell $300 dollar necklace sets then you do not want to go to a flea market, where people will be looking
for the best bargains. On the other hand, if you make cute plastic jewelry then you might not do well at a wine festival.
You can find shows and fairs to sell your hand made jewelry at by doing a word search on Google or Yahoo, or by looking in newspapers on and off line.
You will create your own jewelry booth with tables and backdrops, lamps and props. Save yourself from over working by using lightweight things
and keeping it simple. Just remember to keep it neat and clean looking. People will want to handle the jewelry, so make it convenient to do that.
Step back from your booth to see the full effect. Can you tell at first glance that you sell jewelry and does it look like some place you would
like to shop at. Make sure you have plenty of good lights shining on your jewelry.
Some important things to learn are how to price your jewelry, how to take credit cards, how to find good shows, how to manage your jewelry booth and maximize your profits.
Another thing you can do to earn more money with out having to spend more time making jewelry is to sell complementary or related items.
Items such as jewelry boxes, jewelry polish/cleaners, polishing cloths are obvious choices but you could even sell beaded sun-catchers
and wind chimes, or beaded pillows. I use picture frames to feature necklaces, if you did that you could even sell picture frames.
Be creative, but logical, you don't want people to think there is too much going on at the same time. You also don't want the secondary
products to over whelm your jewelry.
One very important thing you will need to do is to collect peoples personal information so you can send them up-dates and
notices about your jewelry business. You could have a door prize, to enter they have to give their name and email, and/or
have a sign-up list for people that want to know when you are having a sale or when you will be back.
In your emails you can direct them to your web site (if you don't have one then get one), let them know
how they can get discounts, the times and locations of your next shows and what ever else you can think of.
The whole point is to keep current in their minds. If you keep reminding them who you are then they will
think of you first when they want to buy jewelry.
