Home Jewelry Party
One method for selling just about any product is at home parties. This applies to selling your handmade jewelry at your own jewelry party as well. If you are a very sociable and like spending a lot of time with people then a jewelry party plan would be a good fit.
The biggest advantage to a jewelry party, beside the fact that they are fun, is that the guests have come ready to buy your jewelry and you get to walk a way with all the profits. If you want a part time income then you could do one or two jewelry parties a month but if you wanted a full time income then you could do one or two parties a week. Even so that would leave you plenty of time to spend with your family and doing the things you love. You get to book a jewelry party when ever it fits your schedule.
If you do not make jewelry but want to sell ready made jewelry by joining a jewelry party company, then you can join one of several companies. I did a quick word search on the internet and this is what I came up with:
Jewels by Park Lane - joinparklanejewelry.com
Stacy McBride - stacymcbride.com
DITY Beads - ditybeads.com
Bay Jewelry Company - bayjewelrycompany.com
Be sure to investigate very thoroughly, not only do you want the company to be legitimate but you want it to fit your needs.
If you make jewelry and want to join a jewelry party plan then check out Luxe Jewels. At these parties you teach the guests to make their own jewelry and you can display and sell your handmade jewelry whether on not you have used Luxe Jewels components or not! So you can be creative, making your own jewelry and enjoy the trill when people get excited about the jewelry that they actually made themselves! - luxejewels.com
The trouble with joining a company like this is that you get only a percent of the sales you create, however they do all the behind-the-scene work. And you get the advantage of being associated with a well known established business.
You could also have jewelry parties where you teach people how to make their own jewelry and they buy the kits form you. Or you could have an open house type jewelry party where guests can come and go as they please. Or you could have a sit down kind of party and play games.
Another thing you can do to earn more money with out having to spend more time making jewelry is to sell complementary or related items. Items such as jewelry boxes, jewelry polish/cleaners, polishing cloths are obvious choices but you could even sell beaded sun-catchers and wind chimes, or beaded pillows. I use picture frames to feature necklaces, if you did that you could even sell picture frames. Be creative, but logical, you don't want people to think there are two parties going on at the same time. You also don't want the secondary products to over whelm your jewelry.
A jewelry party business can be tons of fun and very profitable!
